How to Use / Instructions
Initial Preparation: Before placing in your aquarium, soak the sponge in a container of aquarium water for 5–10 minutes. Squeeze the sponge several times while submerged to remove all trapped air bubbles.
Connection: Connect the filter to an external air pump using standard 4mm airline tubing. We recommend installing a check valve in the airline to protect your pump from water backflow.
Cleaning Instructions: Every 2–4 weeks, remove the sponge and squeeze it out gently only in a bucket of dechlorinated aquarium water. Never use tap water, as chlorine will kill the beneficial bacteria living in the sponge.
Application: Ideal for tanks up to 40 liters (10 gallons) or as a secondary "polishing" filter in larger setups.
Replacement: For maximum filtration efficiency, replace the sponge every 6 months or when the foam begins to break down.
