How to Use / Instructions
Setup & Installation:
- Rinse lightly (optional—pre-treated formula minimizes dust)
- Dry place soil directly into aquarium tank—do not pre-soak
- Layer thickness: 3-5 cm (1.2-2 inches) minimum recommended for planted tanks; 5-7 cm for aquascapes with hills
- 3kg covers approximately 40-60 liters (10-15 gallons) of aquarium volume depending on substrate depth
- Mist soil with spray bottle to hold shape before adding water
- Add water slowly to prevent mixing layers and preserve slopes
pH & Water Chemistry:
- Expected pH: 6.0–6.5 upon setup
- Slight softening of water hardness (KH reduction)
- Initial ammonia spikes may occur for 2-3 weeks; beneficial for fishless cycling
- Recommended: Perform 50% water change after 1 week if stocking immediately
- Ideal for softwater species: Bee shrimp, Caridina species, Cardinal fish, Discus, and acid-loving plants
Plant Compatibility:
- Excellent for stem plants, foreground carpet plants, and root-feeding species
