How to Use / Instructions
Installation & Setup:
- Verify power supply: AC 230V/115V, 50/60Hz, 11W
- Mount on side or back of aquarium tank edge
- Compatible with tank rims up to 14mm thickness
- Important: Keep inlet tube vertical and positioned as close to water surface as possible
- Critical: Maintain water level above filter motor at all times to ensure automatic priming. If water level drops below motor, filter will stop during power outage and may not auto-restart
- Fill filter chamber completely with water before connecting power
- Insert vertical inlet tube into tank
- Allow water to settle, then power on
- Adjust flow rate using control knob at bottom

Filter Media Maintenance:
- Inspect media compartment weekly for debris
- Rinse mechanical sponge every 1-2 weeks in tank water only (never tap water—destroys beneficial bacteria)
- Replace activated carbon pad monthly or as flow decreases
- Rinse biochemical media only if flow significantly reduced
- Clean intake tube every 2 weeks to prevent clogging

Troubleshooting:
- Filter stops after power failure: Check water level above motor; refill if below motor position

- Air bubbles in outlet: Normal during startup; should clear within 1-2 minutes
- Motor hums but no flow: Prime filter by completely filling chamber with water
- Noise during operation: Ensure motor is seated securely in hanging bracket
Important Safety Notes:
- Never touch electrical plug with wet hands
